The Art of Diego Rivera

Diego Rivera was a world-famous Mexican painter and muralist, an active Communist, and husband of Frida Kahlo a fellow artist. This print The Flower Seller (Vendedora) was painted by the social realist Rivera in 1942. The image is of a female figure collecting a huge bunch of flowers, beautifully light colours are used on the flowers in contrast to the darker ground and colour of the female's skin and clothing.
