Born in Paris, France, in 1933, Michel Delacroix studied at the Lycee Louis-le-Grand. He has had numerous one-man shows as well as group exhibitions all over Europe. Michel Delacroix's primitive style in his paintings and graphics combine structure and detail with rich color to convey the bustling, diverse activity of life in the cities he paints. He is recognized as one of the important primitive artists of our time.

In 1995, Delacroix became the Official Artist of the 1995 Special Olympics World Games. His magnificent Sport. Spirit. Splendor, commissioned for the occasion, became the Official Poster for the 1995 Games
